Getting a backpack… I actually had to do a lot of research about this. Most girls that had travelled on their own had suggested a 50 or 60 liter backpack. I went to my local Decathlon shop and checked them out. For girl backpacks (lighter than men’s) the prices ranged from 40€ to about 100€….
